  • The Former Palace & Sultan Mosque: We'll make stops at Singapore's very own 19th Century palace, Old Istana Kampong Glam, and the beautiful mosque named for a king, and learn the stories of Kampong Glam’s intriguing royal past.

  • Heritage Businesses: With its royal connections and port location, Kampong Glam attracted traders and migrants from faraway lands, bringing with them specialty trades from all over. Many are still operating today. We’ll visit heritage businesses and learn how 3rd generation descendants have reinvented their family businesses for the 21st century.

  • New Collections & Local Gems: Kampong Glam is not just historic district; its a living neighbourhood with local gems that keep visitors returning. In recent years, an eclectic mix of shops and cafes have brought in a new buzz. Visit some of the more unique businesses and meet the entrepreneurs who, driven by passion, are bringing something new to this historic district.

  • The tour is designed to end at sunset so it’ll be perfect timing for you to enjoy the vibrant night life of the area – our guide will provide some suggestions for drinks, shopping or dinner at one of Singapore's hippest streets, Haji Lane.

Please note: Ruby Dot Trails may adjust the above tour itinerary, in response to site conditions or circumstances beyond our control.
